Our partner SKS Engineering for Singapore has rented for 5 years 7 of our electric forklifts with the low height configuration to operate inside containers. Each truck has a capacity of 5000 kg with 600 mm load center, 3 stages mast with free lift. The mast itself and the driver’s driving position have been arranged on the basis of the use of paper roll clamps with 360° rotation.

The RH series has SBE battery side exchange. The location of the battery facilitates swapping with a spare to ensure multi-shift operational coverage. Today, a RH-SBE 80V or 96V series truck with two batteries can offer up to 20 hours of actual operating time. Sogin is a public company responsible for the decommissioning of Italian nuclear plants and the management of radioactive waste. Since 2012 our collaboration continued with the delivery of some AC250-8 120V – 25000 kg forklift trucks at 800 mm centre of gravity. The last order included the configuration of our RH50 – 5000 kg at 600 mm for the handling of bins and tanks with radioactive waste.

The peculiarity of the project and of the type of load to be handled has foreseen the redesign of our RH50 model.

From the operator’s point of view the cabin has been completely sealed through the use of special steels to protect it from possible radiation. At the same time the windows have been integrated with shielding glass. Two infrared video cameras have been inserted at the front and rear. The electronic distributor with mini-fingers and the Grammer seat offer maximum comfort to the operator.

The handling of drums, bins and tanks containing radioactive waste requires the use of a clamp with arm with fixed extension. In order to compensate for any vibration and stress we have reinforced the axle and fixed the mast with a load stabilizer.

Our RH45s have a 90° turning radius which makes it easier for the operator to move in tight spaces. Especially in this particular situation, a further advantage is the agility achieved due to the type of load to be handled, reducing possible manoeuvres and conditioning.

RH50 belongs to the range 5 – 7 tons of the RH series. A line of trucks recognized to work in heavy situations and in multiple shifts. RH forklifts are used in the sectors of paper, recycling, logistics, timber, steelworks, concrete and now in the management of special waste.

For their Austrian branch, Raniero has developed two AC 96V electric of 8tons, narrow at its sides b1=1710mm for moving through stacked paper rolls and short corridors. The forklifts use paper roll clamps with 360° rotating and forward extension functions. Able to lift up loads at 6500 mm height without reducing the residual capacity. Guarantees reliability, stability of its mast and reducing storage spaces.

What rewarded Raniero was our ability to offer a compact electric forklift truck that, despite having a greater capacity, has the same dimensions to operate in tight manoeuvring spaces.

Tata is one of India’s largest industrial groups with a long industrial history in a wide range of manufacturing sectors. The group consists of 93 companies in seven business sectors employing approximately 220,000 people. Approximately 65 percent of the group’s ownership is controlled by the Tata Foundation.

For one of their steel mills in Wales, in collaboration with our UK distributor Red Diamond Distribution Ltd. we delivered 4 electric forklifts in 120V with 30 ton capacity. Each truck was developed based on the following requirements. To handle steel coils weighing between 25,000 and 30,000 kg each with different centers of gravity, to travel along narrow aisles and to be available for loading production lines throughout the day. The trucks delivered replaced Paus LPG ones. Our versatility was the ability to design a 30t truck with the same dimensions as the 23t Paus model. A width of 2200 mm, a length of 4530 mm and a large turning radius.

Our delivered machines have side shifter, a 1100 mm boom to lift coils up to 1600 mm deep, 1 battery of 120V 1860Ah which guarantees an autonomy of 6 hours of effective work. The position of the high seat, the external mast cylinders, the presence of working lights, blue spot light and rear video camera guarantee greater safety to the operator during the various phases of loading and unloading.

The project has required for the survey by Manho Trading of the types of loads to be handled and the possible maximum dimensions at the customer’s premises. The gradients and overall dimensions present in the aisles inside the storage sheds and the operational autonomy required for the truck.

The client company that purchased our forklift trucks is a Korean company listed in the main Asian financial markets. It produces plates, cylinders, tubes and other special steels for the aeronautical and aerospace sectors. It has chosen the option of an electric forklift for greater sensitivity to environmental aspects and to aspects related to the reduction of daily costs of using the forklift.

Based on these elements collected by our Korean distributor we redesigned our AC250-8-CO 120V: 25000 kg at 800 mm load centre, compact in length, 120V. The forklift has been lowered from the standard 3100 mm to a total height of 2690 mm to allow the trolley to pass between doors and tunnels 2900 mm high.

Each truck has been equipped with two 120V 1860Ah batteries each to be available for unloading/loading lorries and in stock within 24 hours. Each battery offers an operating autonomy of 7 hours and are interchangeable in less than 3 minutes.
